Royal AM have reportedly identified two coaches who could potentially replace Dan Malesela, a KwaZulu-Natal outfit insider has revealed.

Malesela, who was co-coach at Royal AM, left Thwihli Thwahla to return to Marumo Gallants, leaving Khabo Zondo and Abram Nteo as the only remaining co-coaches. But club bosses are believed to prefer three coaches to run Royal AM.

The insider has revealed that one of the coaches likely to make Thwihli Thwahla’s technical squad is none other than recently sacked Swallows FC coach Dylan Kerr or an overseas coach who has been identified by the club.

“The board want to have three coaches, that’s what they think they’ve worked at the club and they think three minds are better than one. So research is ongoing and there are two guys who have been identified. I don’t know if they’ve ever been approached or what’s going on,” the insider said.

“But what I can say is the minute the Swallows coach was put on special leave management knew what was coming. They like his approach to the game and the way he is still committed to the game. He has a lot of coaching experience in South Africa so they think he could be good for the team.

“But not everyone seems to believe it because there is another foreign coach being considered for the job. I think they want to wrap up this whole training thing by the end of the international break.
