KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany – Ritsu Doan made a big impression on his debut for Bundesliga side Freiburg on Sunday, sealing a 2-1 win over Kaiserslautern in the German Cup first round with a spectacular free-kick in extra time.
Christian Streich’s Freiburg side, last season’s German Cup runners-up, had their hands full in second division Kaiserslautern, who took a 1-0 lead through Marlon Ritter before half-time at the Fritz-Walter -Stadion.
