nalin negi: IPO-linked BharatPe appoints Nalin Negi as its new CFO amid high-profile exits

fintech Platform BharatPe announced on Wednesday that it had appointed the former SBI card CFO Naline Negi as its new CFO, as it prepares for its initial public offering (IPO).

In his new role, Negi will take over the finance function of BharatPe and strive to make the business EBITDA positive by March 2023.

He will report to Suhail Sameer, CEO of BharatPe and work closely with BharatPe’s board of directors, the company said in a statement.

“His Card listing experience will be instrumental for us as we aim to go public in FY25,” Sameer said.

BharatPe closed the first quarter of FY23 with over Rs 3,600 crore in total loans facilitated and $18 billion in annualized POS payments.

“The company has become a preferred and trusted partner for millions of offline merchants in just 4 years of launch,” said Negi, who will lead the company’s financial readiness as it prepares for the IPO. .

The new appointment comes after BharatPe co-founder Bhavik Koladiya left the company to pursue other assignments.

The company has seen several high-profile exits in recent months, including co-founders Shashvat Nakrani and Ashner Grover (which triggered a great controversy on the platform); revenue manager Nishit Sharma; and Head of Institutional Debt Partnerships, Chandrima Dhar.
