mygov: MyGov helped citizens engage with government: IT Minister

The use of Technology and platforms such as MyGov enabled citizens to benefit from various government services and programs, the Minister of Electronics and computer science (THIS), Ashwini Vaishnaw said at an event in New Delhi on Saturday.

Talking about MyGov 2.0, he said the platform has helped citizens engage with government and encouraged more citizens to share their thoughts.

Vaishnaw has also launched the Responsible program AI for the Youth 2022 initiative, which was created by the Ministry’s National E-Governance Division, Intel India and the Ministry of Education.

The program will be open to all students in grades 8 to 12 to foster a deeper understanding of AI technology and encourage young people to become human-centered designers, the ministry said in a statement. .

“Extremely proud of the MyGov team for doing their best to ensure that we meet citizens’ expectations through participatory governance,” said Abhishek Singh, Managing Director of MyGov.

MyGov is the Indian Government’s citizen engagement platform launched in 2014. It is a one stop destination for citizens to contribute their unique skills to nation building while bridging the communication gap through dissemination of information in various formats and media.
