GABRIELLA: WE KNOW THE FIRST CALL FOR HELP CAME JUST BEFORE MIDNIGHT, JUST A FEW HOURS AGO, FOR A PERSON IN THE MILWAUKEE RIVER. >> MED 16 ARRIVES WITH A DIVER. TRUCK FIVE WILL ALSO RESPOND WITH A DIVER. MESSAGE RECEIVED. STAGE AT THE REAR OF RESCUE THREE AT THE BUMPER. ORDERED. MED FOUR WILL RESPOND WITH A DIVER. GABRIELLA: OUR CAMERAS WERE ON THE SCENE AND THE TEAMS ARE PULLING ONE PERSON OUT OF THE WATER, HAVING TO PERFORM CPR ON THEM. THE MEDICAL PHYSICIANS TELL US THEY HAVE NOT BEEN CALLED TO THE SITE. SEVERAL DIVERS WERE DIRECTED TO THE MILWAUKEE RIVER TO ASSIST WITH THE RESCUE EFFORTS. WE CONTACTED MILWAUKEE POLICE TO FIND OUT WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED AND HOW THEY ENDED UP IN THE RIVER BUT WE HAVE NO RESPONSE.

Dive crews removed one person from the Milwaukee River early Monday morning. The medical examiner confirmed the person was a 39-year-old man from Milwaukee who later died in hospital. A 12 News photojournalist was at the scene when a person was pulled from the water and crews performed CPR on him. The medical examiner added that foul play was not suspected.
