Matthew Modine Hits Trump With a Scathing ‘Stranger Things’ Comparison

Actor Matthew Modine says his “stranger things“The character is guilty of ‘mental slavery’ for what he did to the children on the show, and it’s ‘an unforgivable crime.’

In the show’s fourth season, Dr. Martin Brenner — aka “Dad” to the kids — asks Eleven for forgiveness when he appears to be dying.

Modine said that if Eleven had granted him that pardon, Brenner would “go through the remaining days of his life knowing that he had been forgiven but had to accept responsibility for what he had done.”

“Do you think donald trump is able to sleep at night with a clear conscience? Or does he have to fall asleep and become a psychopathic liar in order to justify the behavior and the things he has done? Well, maybe he is. It is a bad example. [Laughs.] I think Dr. Brenner is a more moral person than that, and he should spend his last days acknowledging and accepting responsibility for the pain he has caused. That’s the real nightmare – not being able to escape your thoughts and the things you’ve seen or done. »
