ACTRESS Jennifer Garner has been through it all in terms of beauty trends and makeovers, and she passes her knowledge on to her two children.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaarthe actress recently discussed her top beauty tips she offered to her two teenage daughters, Violet, 17, and Seraphina, 13, whom she shares with ex-husband Ben Affleck, as well as her 10 year old son, Samuel.
She also talked about her physical appearance and how she works hard to enhance her natural beauty. She said if people take care of their skin and hair, they should be able to feel good without having to do anything major.
When asked what advice she would “pass on” to her daughters, Garner pointed out that there are things to worry about that are more important than looks.
“Look at yourself less in the mirror, be less obsessed, and look at the rest of the world to see what you could use your time for instead,” she told the publication.
“We’re all looking at our faces more than before, and it’s not doing you any good. You’re obsessed with changes or how to fix something in your face.
Makeup, according to Garner, is a great way to express yourself. She also noted that her young daughters don’t wear much makeup, which is great because beauty products affect the skin in some way.
Garner went on to say that anyone considering getting injections should be “very, very incredibly judicious and wait as long as possible.”
She advised, “Don’t think you’re 37 and have to shoot yourself.”
She also said she’s not against cosmetics as long as they don’t contain dangerous ingredients or make unrealistic claims.
