‘Intensity’ of Royal Family coverage should ‘calm down’

Former ITN Royal editor Tim Ewart said that since the death of Queen Elizabeth II there has been much discussion about the future of the monarchy.

“The reality is that the Royal Family is going to slowly and slowly be taken off the front pages – because we have pressing and more pressing issues, including economic ones,” he told Sky News host Peter Gleeson.

“So I think the intensity of the start that we had is going to calm down a bit, certainly here in Britain because people are now going to turn to other issues.”
