Death toll in Armenian warehouse blast rises to six

Explosions ripped through the warehouse storing fireworks at a market in Yerevan on Sunday, causing parts of the building to collapse and injuring dozens of people.

Video shared by the Emergencies Ministry showed a smoldering pile of rubble and twisted metal. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the scene with officials, the ministry said.

The cause of the explosion is unclear, although authorities have ruled out terrorism.

“Looking at the footage from the moment of the explosion, it becomes clear that one cannot speak of a terrorist act, because first there is a fire, smoke rises, then an explosion,” the official said. Armenpress news agency quoting Emergencies Minister Armen Pambukhchyan. as told.
